Noise Action Plan for Brisbane

Package 3 of the Noise Action Plan for Brisbane focuses on concepts for reducing frequency and concentration of aircraft over some communities that experience the highest volumes of air traffic. There are five sets of concepts that you can give feedback on, but you're also invited to provide overall feedback on Package 3.

Purpose: To facilitate the introduction of simultaneous arrivals using both runways (including suburbs within Brisbane City Council, Logan City Council and Moreton Bay City Council).

Several complex safety and operational factors require further evaluation before options can be produced. Independent parallel runway operations also introduce additional Air Traffic Control staffing and training requirements that must be addressed. As such, the types of flight path changes explained in this factsheet are presented for information only during this phase of Package 3 community engagement, rather than for feedback.

However, you are welcome to submit comments on any local conditions or factors that you would like us to be aware of when developing detailed flight path designs.

Feedback on this trial has now closed. Airservices will conduct an evaluation to determine if this NAP should become a permanent operation, be modified, or if it should cease. We will continue to operate the procedure until completion of the evaluation.

This online session is a general introduction to how we will be conducting the next round of flight path design and community engagement.

In person: registering to attend helps us prepare with enough staff and materials, and ensure you receive any venue or information updates if needed. You're welcome to drop in at any time in the four-hour session. Please note, sessions are being held in areas where residents are most likely to notice a change in aircraft operations as a result of the proposals.
