In the third edition of The View from Moorabbin Tower, you’ll find guidance and tips on how to fly an ‘Oblique’ leg of the circuit (on arrival or departure), along with guidance on how to avoid the tendency to fly the clearance you may be been expecting rather than the clearance you actually received! There’s also some insight into the improving operational safety occurrence trend being witnessed at MB, along with further examples of great airmanship….keep up the great work!

As noted in our inaugural edition, Moorabbin is one of the busiest Metro D aerodromes in Australia. It’s a complex environment with a diverse mix of operations, including being a key pilot training environment with growing traffic numbers.
