Project update - 16R Threshold Runway Safety Works now complete

Sydney Airport has now concluded essential runway safety works to replace the 9,200 square metre concrete slab at the start of runway 16R. The runway has been recommissioned and flights to the runway have resumed. Communities to the north of the airport under the approach to the main runway such as St Peters, Sydenham, Marrickville, Stanmore, Lilyfield and Leichhardt may notice flights for the first time in 4 months.
