Community feedback invited on Gold Coast Airport southern arrival route proposal

Airservices is seeking community feedback on a proposal that would affect two existing arrival flight paths used by aircraft landing on Runway 32 at Gold Coast Airport. The proposal would remove a current usage restriction on the existing Runway 32 RNP-AR approach, allowing a broader range of eligible international arrivals from New Zealand, Asia and the Pacific region to use the offset approach in suitable operating conditions. While the flight paths themselves would not change, the number of aircraft using each path may change.

Public consultation on this proposal is open from 24 August to 18 September 2026.

The purpose of this engagement is to invite community feedback on the proposal and supporting analysis before a final decision is made. Airservices will consider feedback alongside safety, operational feasibility, environmental assessment outcomes and community impact information, and will explain how feedback has been considered in a Community Engagement Report.
