Update 6 - Amended Bankstown airport VFR lane and Updated Draft VTC

As part of the Western Sydney International Airport (WSI) Detailed Design Airspace Change Proposal (ACP), amendments have been made to:

  • The Visual Flight Rules (VFR) lanes southwest of Bankstown Airport (YSBK), shifting the lanes further south
  • a volume of airspace above the YSBK Control Zone (CTR), introducing an additional 500ft Class D CTA step

These amendments aim to improve safety outcomes and have been developed in consultation with the Civil Aviation Safety Authority (CASA).

The amendments are depicted on an Updated VTC – Sydney Inset (Note: this replaces the previous Draft VTC’s)
