Update 5 - Release of Industry Engagement Reports and Updated VTC

Thank you to everyone who provided feedback on the following documents during our recent engagement activities:

• Industry Briefing Paper for the Detailed Airspace and Flight Path Design
• DRAFT Industry Engagement Report for the 2023 AvSEF activity “Proposed changes to general aviation operations in the Sydney Basin”

We’re pleased to now release the final Industry Engagement Reports:

(1) Industry Engagement Report – Detailed Airspace and Flight Path Design

(2) Industry Engagement Report – 2023 AvSEF “Proposed changes to general aviation operations in the Sydney Basin”

In addition, we shared a draft Visual Terminal Chart (VTC) for industry comment during the engagement period. Based on the feedback received, we have updated the chart:

(3) Updated VTC – Sydney Inset (This replaces the previously proposed standalone Western Sydney VTC. Rather than issuing a separate chart, the Western Sydney airspace will now be depicted as an inset on the reverse side of the Sydney VTC.)

All of this information has been submitted to the Civil Aviation Safety Authority (CASA) as part of our Airspace Change Proposal (ACP).
