Conclusion of detailed design community engagement
Community engagement on flight path and airspace changes for Western Sydney International (Nancy-Bird Walton) Airport has now concluded. We would like to thank everyone who provided feedback and submitted an expression of interest or location suggestion for a temporary noise monitor.
Relevant feedback from the community regarding Noise Abatement Procedures (NAPs) will be reviewed and considered in further development of WSI NAPs.
The expressions of interest and location suggestions received for the temporary noise monitors will be reviewed and a shortlist of appropriate locations identified for inclusion in this program. You will be notified of the outcome of your submission shortly and suitable candidates will be advised of next steps.
Subject to CASA approvals, the airspace changes will be implemented in mid-2026 ahead of the opening of WSI Airport. We will keep the community updated on progress and future opportunities to discuss WSI operations with our team.
