Perth Airport New Runway

Perth Airport Pty Ltd (PAPL) is delivering a new runway (03R/21L) and associated aviation infrastructure at Perth Airport. The project was approved by the Hon. Michael McCormack MP, then Minister for Infrastructure, Transport and Regional Development, on 21 November 2020. Construction commenced in 2025 and is scheduled for completion in 2028.

Airservices is responsible for designing the supporting airspace and flight paths, as well as providing air traffic management, Aviation Rescue Fire Fighting Services (ARFFS), and associated facilities and systems to enable safe and efficient operations.

This engagement program builds on earlier industry consultation led by PAPL. The approved New Runway Project Major Development Plan (MDP) is available on the PAPL website (see link here).
