Brisbane Airport Runway Maintenance Update

Brisbane Airport Corporation will be conducting maintenance work on the new parallel runway (01L/19R). The maintenance works are scheduled on the following dates:

• Thursday, 3 November 2022, 9:30PM – 5:00AM
• Wednesday, 9 November 2022, 9:30PM – 5:00AM
• Friday, 11 November – Monday, 14 November 2022, 8:00PM – 5:00AM

The above dates are subject to change if works are completed ahead of schedule.

If maintenance works are unable to proceed as scheduled on the weekend of 11 to 14 November (i.e. due weather), the works will be rescheduled for Friday, 25 November – Monday, 28 November 2022.

During the works, the new parallel runway (01L/19R) will be closed. Community members may notice a temporary change to aircraft operations during this work, as all arrivals and departures will be conducted using the legacy runway (01R/19L).

This work will affect the use of Simultaneous Opposite Direction Parallel Runway Operations (SODPROPS) where all operations are over the bay – including regular night time operations and the current trial to extend the use of SODPROPS.
