Brisbane Airport Flight Path Changes PIR Community Information Sessions

Community information sessions for the Brisbane Airport Flight Path Changes Post Implementation Review (PIR) will be held on Wednesday 22 September and Saturday 25 September 2021.

These sessions will provide an opportunity for the community to learn more about the PIR purpose and process, and to discuss the draft PIR Terms of Reference (ToR), including some of the feedback we have received to date. An updated draft ToR will be provided to the community for further comment following the sessions.

It is noted that the sessions fall during the school holiday period. While we generally do not carry out engagement during school holidays, COVID restrictions and uncertainty around border closures impacting our interstate staff has meant that our planned engagement in August 2021 had to be delayed.

We are hopeful with the easing of restrictions in the southern states that we will now be in a position to be able to host the meeting with all of our key people available in person. To avoid any further delays to the PIR however, we also have plans for these people to attend virtually if necessary.

To allow for greater participation, we will be holding the sessions in both in-person and online formats. Filming and camera equipment is not permitted in the sessions as they deter participation. However, we will publish a recording of the key presentations on our Engage Airservices site after the events. Community members will not be filmed.

Airservices will host additional community information sessions and workshops at key points during the PIR.

Registration for attendance

Due to COVID-19 restrictions in Brisbane affecting the number of people allowed in indoor venues, the community sessions are limited to 50 guests; however, the sessions will be Livestreamed and a recording of the sessions will be made available on the project Engage page.

To join our sessions, please complete the registration form here. Registration will close on Sunday 19 September. Registrants will be sent email confirmation prior to the sessions.

Watch the Livestream

A link to the Livestream will be provided on the Engage project page prior to the session. You do not need to register to participate in the Livestream. Only the key presentations will be live streamed, not community members.

Submit questions

As we will be unable to respond to online questions during the sessions, and to allow for equitable participation in the sessions and gathering of any data to support more detailed responses, we are asking that any community questions be submitted in advance of the sessions, by Sunday 19 September.

The opportunity to ask questions in person at the events will be provided, time permitting, but responses may be limited by reasonable access to supporting information.

An option to submit a question is available in the Community Information Session Registration Form.

If you do not intend to attend in person but would still like to ask a question, you can submit it via this form

COVID Safety Measures

We will be complying with all COVID safety measures required at the time of the sessions. Please ensure you bring a mask.
