Noise monitoring

We are seeking community input to help identify suitable locations for installing noise monitors in the following areas:

• Rous/ Lynwood/ Uralba
• Fernleigh/ Tintenbar/ Knockrow
• Coraki/ Ruthven/ Tuckurimba

These areas have been chosen based on flight path locations, the environmental assessment noise modelling results, and community feedback. Community members are invited to submit an Expression of Interest (EOI) to either host a noise monitor or suggest an appropriate location for the noise monitor. If your suburb is not listed but is nearby, you are still welcome to submit an EOI. Please refer to our Noise Monitoring factsheet for further information and eligibility criteria.

Please submit your suggestions via our online form. EOIs close on Friday 14 November 2025. After the closing date, submissions will be assessed to determine suitable locations. We expect to contact property owners who have submitted an EOI in late 2025 to confirm if their suggested location has been successful. Noise monitoring is expected to commence by early 2026.
